The Auburn University Rural Partnership Institute’s Social Science team conducts research with the aim of better understanding the experiences and perspectives of Alabama residents. Thus, the Social Science research team conducts two surveys that concentrate on collecting information about Alabamians' well-being, as well as the opportunities and challenges they experience. The Alabama Farm Poll and the Our State, Out Lives: Alabama Well Being Survey are conducted biennially on opposite years, allowing the research team to focus their efforts on one poll each year. Together, these surveys provide data-driven insights that inform research, outreach, and decision-making while further supporting AURPI's mission to strengthen rural communities and the industries that sustain them.

The Our State, Our Lives: Alabama Wellbeing Survey examines the experiences of Alabama residents across rural, suburban, and urban communities, exploring topics such as financial wellbeing, caregiving responsibilities, workforce participation, and quality of life.
Alabama Farm Poll
The Alabama Farm Poll explores the perspectives of Alabama’s agricultural producers, examining the perspectives of farmers and farm families’ quality of life, as well as the challenges and opportunities they face.
